The day featured seven presentations by PhD students and junior researchers, each followed by comments from more senior academics. The research covered a broad range of topics – from the macroeconomic effects of housing prices to the distributional impacts of interest rate policy.
The workshop concluded with a keynote address by Ricardo Reis from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In his talk, ”The anatomy of a peg: lessons from China’s parallel currencies”, he discussed insights from China’s currency regimes and exchange rate strategies.
This was the fourth time the conference was held. Its aim is to provide young researchers with an opportunity to present their work and receive feedback in a qualified academic setting.
